Why do i need a softener?
Hard water can cause serious problems to to industrial and professional equipment as well as household appliances like the dishwasher, the washing machine and kettles. The most common and most efficient method used to remove the scale is the water softener.
The water softener uses an ion exchange resin to remove calcium (Ca2+) and magnesium (Mg2+) ions from the water. The ion exchange resin regenerates with the use of salt. It is considered by far the most efficient way to produce soft water because the scale is actually removed from the water.
In Cyprus the water hardness ranges between 200 to 400 ppm CaCO3 depending on the area. It is generally considered very hard water. Below u can find some softener models that can be used in a variety of applications.
